Lake Rhona

Lake Rhona

Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, Tasmania

Planning a landscape photograph is a process that I thoroughly enjoy.

The plan with this image was simple, capture the rising sun as it lights up the peaks.

I feel that this is a photograph that went to plan.

The entire trip was stunning. I was amazed to find the beach deserted. The conditions were clear with a slight breeze and I ended up staying for another night to head up around the ridgeline and capture some astrophotography with the milkyway rising vertically above reeds peak.

This photograph was taken back in March 2018 prior to the fires that devastated the region.
