Mount Ida, Lake St Clair

Mount Ida, Lake St Clair

Cradle Mountain / Lake St Clair National Park, Tasmania

Sunset on Mount Ida from Echo Point.

This photo was taken on the last evening of the overland track. a beautiful way to finish the adventure. This was the view from where I decided to setup my tent and watch the sunsetting on Mount Ida. If you get the opportunity to do the overland track, I'd recommend the extra day to do this section as long as you have enough supplies. I enjoyed my last coffee the next morning, and then used my last bit of gas on my last teabag at lunch! I normally have spares but that was it - oh well I guess the lodge was getting real close.
